A WORLD-RENOWNED American animal scientist will share her expertise on livestock handling at a seminar at the Borderway Mart, Carlisle, on Monday.Dr Temple Grandin, Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, will demonstrate her safe practice techniques, showing how anxiety in cattle can be reduced during the handling process.
Some of the world’s biggest animal processors have used her advice on welfare, handling and facilities for livestock. The seminar has been organised by H&H and Eblex and Dr Grandin will also give H&H feedback on its systems at Borderway.
