THE search to find a hero to receive the David Black Award has begun.
The award, sponsored by BPEX, began in 1960 and is given to a person who has made a valuable and sustained contribution to the pig industry.
Previous winners have been producers, processors, academics and from the allied industry.
The award will be presented in the House of Lords on November 4.
