TACKLING sheep scab will be a key topic at a national sheep event this summer.
The National Sheep Association (NSA) says it remains a major source of financial loss and will be the subject of a seminar at the NSA Sheep Event at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, on Wednesday, July 30.
Joanne Briggs, of the NSA, said: “Scab is a significant health and welfare problem; coordinated action against the disease remains an industry priority.”
The seminar “Tackling sheep scab, a collaborative approach” follows the “English Stamp Out Scab Project” in 2013-14, and will look at what the industry needs to be doing to keep on top of the disease.”
