THE North Yorkshire committee of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) has decided to split itself in two - into A1 East and A1 West.
It means they can cover a larger area and hope it will make it easier for people to join.
The first A1 East committee meeting is at The Fleece Hotel in Thirsk on Monday (19th) at 7pm. The first A1 West committee meeting will be at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, on Friday, May 30, at 10.30am.
Organisers hope that by having an evening and a daytime meeting may make it easier for people to attend.
Meanwhile several fundraising events are coming up.
RABI and the Farming Community Network host a concert by "Allerston Aloud" at Snainton Village Hall on Friday, May 23, at 7.30pm. Full details from Elizabeth Clark on 01944 710757.
Reeth Brass Band will perform a concert in Masham Town Hall on Friday, June 6 - the 70th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 including refreshments. Contact David Longster on 07584 633030 for tickets.
