Handing over at Blagdon Estate

First published in Farming

MARK Wood, resident land agent at the Blagdon Estate, in Northumberland, for the past 33 years and partner in Sale and Partners, has joined Land Factor.

He will retire from Blagdon on June 30 and Peter Combe, Land Factor director, will take over from him.

Meanwhile, they will work together to ensure a seamless hand-over. Mr Combe will be based at the estate office for three days a week, managing his other estates during the rest of the week.

After his retirement, Mr Wood will act as a consultant at Land Factor.

Lord Ridley, estate owner, said: “Mark Wood has been at Blagdon for the past 33 years and I am extremely grateful to him for all his hard work.”

Mr Wood joined Sale and Partners in 1980 as land agent for Blagdon. He lives near Stannington with his wife and enjoys gardening, forestry and shooting.
