CHRIS Dickinson, has become NFU county adviser for South and West Yorkshire.

He is the first point of contact for more than 1,200 farmers in an area stretching from Skipton in the west to Goole in the east and the whole of South Yorkshire.

Mr Dickinson, whose parents have beef, sheep, arable and poultry enterprises at Penrith, graduated with a degree in agri-business management from Newcastle University in 2009.

He worked as a fieldsman for Blue Barns Poultry farms throughout Yorkshire and Northumberland before joining the NFU where for the last two years he was national poultry advisor. He has joined the NFU’s North East team in York.
