HENRY Robinson has been elected as the new national president of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA).
He farms 1,000 acres in Gloucestershire, and has previously served as deputy president and vicepresident.
Mr Robinson paid tribute to his predecessor Harry Cotterell, and said: “I look forward to the next two years with some trepidation but also with enthusiasm and excitement.
“A General Election and European elections will take place during my period in office, providing a wealth of lobbying opportunities for the association.”
Ross Murray, who had served as vice-president, was elected deputy president, and Tim Breitmeyer, who has chaired the CLA’s national agriculture and land use committee and environment committee, was elected vice-president.
