Scarf inspired by greys
12:59pm Friday 20th September 2013 in Farming
A LIMITED edition scarf has been produced for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) to raise funds to help boost grey partridge numbers.
Designed by Katrina Candy, the GWCT’s Perthbased head of PR and Education (Scotland), the delicate scarf has been inspired by the bird’s plumage and colouring.
She said: “This is the first time Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust has produced such an item, so the scarf is a very special new addition to our merchandise range.
“The grey partridge, as the logo for GWCT, is a much-loved species which has suffered huge decline in recent years and in conservation terms is quite an icon. It seemed appropriate to take inspiration from this bird to create my design which will hopefully boost the trust’s funds.”
Only 50 of the scarves have been produced and cost £15.95 each. See gwctshop.org.uk/ourshop for details.
