Sir, - I recently went on the walk recommended by your correspondent George Wilkinson (D&S, May 9) at West Burton.
The walk was described as easy so we thought it would suit our party which included two mid 60-year-olds with angina, two in their thirties, one of whom was carrying a ninemonth old baby in a back pack and one six-year old.
We expected a bit of a climb but when it got to "what, right up there!" on more than one occasion, we were beginning to think your Mr Wilkinson must be a young keep-fit fanatic who works out every morning.
It has to be said once you got to the top the views were spectacular.
But if this walk was easy, a difficult one must require the use of ropes and crampons and other mountaineering paraphernalia.
The only ones who didn't suffer from exhaustion and heart palpitations were the baby and the six-year old.
