CAN someone explain why we have just replaced all the street lights across the whole of Darlington but we haven’t installed any in Cemetery Lane?

Cemetery Lane is designated as a cycle route but it is unusable by twilight.

Are we trying to encourage people out of their cars or aren’t we?

I suggest the new street lights of the kind we see on roundabouts would be suitable to light the lane from one end to the other. If the cost of laying cables is prohibitive might solar powered lights be an alternative?

We have lights every few feet in Stanhope Park.
