I REFER to the letter by George Hayes (D&S Times, Mar 3). Three things in life cannot be disputed: a) you die, b) you pay tax, c) remoaners cannot accept democracy.

Mr Hayes refers to the referendum as a charade while enlightened, intelligent people refer to it as the ultimate of democracy which millions of men died in two world wars to defend.

He states that 27 per cent of the electorate did not vote and 48 per cent voted to remain.

Now 52 per cent (the majority) voted to leave which, according to Hayes logic, defies the laws of mathematics, ie 27+48+52 = 127 per cent, although those with a basic knowledge of maths know that that the sum of the whole cannot exceed 100 per cent.

The indisputable facts are that the majority of the UK electorate wants out of the corrupt, incompetent EU.

End of.

He refers to an unknown change to our country. 83 per cent of those who voted to remain were either not even born or were in primary school in 1973 so do not have a clue what life was like out of the EU.

The UK is the strongest expanding economy in the EU with the lowest employment figures, not a bad position to be in. And if the remoaners want any more examples of life outside the EU, just look at Norway and Switzerland who are doing very well.

Who wants to remain in the EU? Two failures - Tony Blair and John Major. Say no more.

Mr Hayes predicts years of economic warfare. With who?

Resentment to the EU is expanding exponentially in the northern EU countries while the likes of Italy, Portugal, France, Greece, Spain are basket cases and the euro is a dead man walking. When we leave the EU, Brussels will be licking our boots asking for forgiveness.
