I WONDER if the conscience of the person, who, in early summer last year, saw fit to dump a huge amount of unsightly debris on to the embankment opposite Leyburn railway station, would be pricked if he, or she, could see the view from my bedroom window.

Now that the foliage has died down, the ugliness of the rubbish is, once again, evident. The bank is covered with a carpet of snowdrops.

It is such a shame that their beauty is marred by a mindless act of fly tipping.
