Fleece Hotel in Richmond
IT is very good news that the Fleece Hotel in Richmond is to be preserved and used as a luxury hotel and apartments (D&S Times, Mar 30).
It is in fact a little Victorian gem in the gothic style and a Grade II listed building, part of Richmond’s history.
However your correspondent (D&S Times, Apr 1) wants it demolished and replaced with a car park when in fact Richmond is well served for car parks.
Let’s hope that the writer is in a majority of one!
