I WAS interested to note that our MP Rishi Sunak has time to write a column and appear in several articles in your paper on what he is doing for the farming community (D&S Times, Sept 25).
That’s great but what about the rest of us?
When he was first elected he did a meet-and-greet on Northallerton’s Saturday market and my husband and I asked him to get involved in the level crossing/link road saga. He confirmed that several people had approached him on the matter, he took our names and address and said he intended to arrange a public meeting.
Nothing has been forthcoming and a subsequent phone call to his office has been ignored.
I would say to your other correspondents on this issue: “Don’t hold your breath that our MP will get involved.”
Judith Hodgson, Northallerton
