Sir, – Mervyn Wilmington is right to be concerned about future national health dental provision after Brentwood Lodge in Leyburn is demolished (D&S letters May 8).
I have been expressing concern for some time now about the other NHS services based there – namely physiotherapy, chiropody and facilities for MS sufferers. Time is definitely of the essence and answers are needed before we lose all these valuable resources. Once they have gone I can't see them returning to Leyburn.
The three organisations involved owe the residents of Leyburn and surrounding area an explanation of what is going to happen. There is a growing concern which is not being addressed by any of them. SHEILA SIMMS
