The damage done to the new pavement in Crosby Road, Northallerton
Sir, – This picture illustrates the damage caused to the newly-resurfaced pavement outside a house in Crosby Road, Northallerton last Wednesday.
Only five minutes after it had been laid, a young mother let her dog run over it and the walked over it herself pushing a three wheeled pushchair.
The workers had put up a barrier and signs but she completely ignored them.
Her feet and those of the dog as well as the pushchair wheels must have been covered in the stuff.
Meanwhile we residents will have to live with the damage now – probably for ever.
