Sir, – The closure of Northallerton Prison presents an opportunity for local residents to see what a prison is like.
Hambleton District Council is reputedly buying the prison from the Ministry of Justice prior to re-development of the site.
I would like to suggest that the HDC arrange guided tours of the prison, before it is demolished, for a small fee
