Sir, – Your article (D&S, January 9) featured Stuart Parsons' proposals for Richmond, Catterick and Colburn to work together to ensure a future for all three libraries.
Finding a constructive solution to budget cuts is never easy, but it would be madness for residents passively to watch libraries close, when they provide such an important service.
Councillor Parsons is suggesting creative ways to move forward. I would urge all interested residents to attend the meeting with County Council representatives at 6.30pm on Monday, January 26, in Richmond Town Hall.
