Sir, – Our usual pre-Christmas busking at Leyburn and Hawes market days for homeless relief by St George's Crypt Leeds started well with more than £150 collected in Leyburn last Friday.
And we have Leyburn today and Hawes on Tuesday still to go. Will we top last year's total of £483: if not it will not be for lack of encouragement from Barclays Bank staff – not just pretty Santas, but mince pies and coffee to boot? Our thanks to them.
