Sir, – Removing benefits from immigrants will be a disaster.
I visited Paris 18 months ago. I saw a mother with three very young children sleeping in a bus stop.
Pick-pocketing was out of control and the police in Paris seemed powerless to stop it. My party of friends and I were victims within minutes of entering onto the Paris Metro.
That is the result of removing benefits and social housing for families who migrate.
The only answer is alas to stop them coming in unlimited numbers. Otherwise the future of a welfare state is thrown into doubt.
The future of schools or a health service free at the point of delivery is thrown into question too.
Can we just have the referendum on Europe now please?
