Sir, – BT is running a nationwide ad campaign for broadband but be wary – I moved to this area on July 18 and I am still waiting for a landline to be connected. I had the fourth engineer here today to tell me he could not do the job.
Apparently a new cable is required but despite BT being aware of my situation, a pensioner in a new area is left with no means of communication.
BT is also aware that I suffer from a serious lung condition and should I suffer difficulty in breathing I will be unable to get medical aid.
Despite this, BT does not seem concerned. As the railways has to pay compensation for delays, why does this not apply to BT?
I cant believe in this day and age that one can be cut off and isolated like this. There is no mobile reception in the property either and I need to walk ten minutes up the road to get a reception. I am very glad I did not get BT broadband when I recently got a computer.
