Sir, – Patricia Tricker writes (D&S, June 13) in answer to Denny Stovlin (D&S, June 6) and asks, do church goers think they should be above the law? No we don’t. I feel that there is a hint of sarcasm in her letter. There are a number of elderly people who go to our church and parking nearer makes it easier for us to go to church.
Parking outside Mercury House, as we now know it, was free for the general public at weekends when it was Richmond Lower School. However, like a lot of things, changes are made. Perhaps Patricia Tricker should remember whether she’s a church goer or not that there will be a day in her life, like us all, when she need a church.
