Sir, – As the mother of three children at Richmond School, I am becoming increasingly concerned with recent events.
I have no axe to grind with the head as I wasn’t aware of any problems or rumours until the governors resigned, but the complete lack of information is very worrying.
I attended the parents’ meeting on April 3 and while the obvious integrity of the IEB was reassuring, the eviction of the Richmondshire councillor was difficult to fathom, especially since both the head and deputy head were present.
I find it impossible to accept that the IEB would take on these voluntary roles without being in full possession of the facts, as they would have us believe. How can they solve a problem when they don’t know what it is?
The complete lack of transparency from all bodies involved is completely unacceptable and simply fuels more speculation and disquiet among parents.
