Sir, – Due to the introduction of the new pound coin in 2017 wouldn’t it be sensible, and cost effective, for the council to postpone the implementation of high street parking charges in Northallerton until then?
Parking meters installed this summer would no doubt need to be converted to accommodate the new coin – leading to yet more expense.
