A TEENAGER whose potential was spotted while working at a bistro is now getting her career fast-tracked with the help of an apprenticeship.
Megan Wilson, 16, has been working at Howards’ in Stokesley since August as part of the front of house team. Bosses were impressed by her potential and offered to support her through her hospitality apprenticeship at Middlesbrough College and are now providing funding for her training with Hambleton District Council.
As part of her skills development, Megan is training alongside Howards’ manager Peter Holligon.
Megan, who attended Stokesley School, said: “I have worked with the team at Howard’s for quite a while now and it’s made me realise what I really want to do. I love the hospitality industry.
“Working alongside Peter Holligon is a real learning experience.”
