A "BUDGET Live" session will be held on Wednesday during a business summit organised by Tees Valley Unlimited.

Philippa Snare, UK marketing director for Microsoft, will give the keynote address at the event in the Olympia Building at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, which runs from 8am to 4pm.

Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget will be broadcast live at 12.15pm and will be followed by an expert panel debate.

Stephen Catchpole, TVU managing director, said: “The eyes of the business community will be firmly fixed on this Budget with it being the first since the Conservatives secured an election majority following five years of coalition government."

As well as one of its leading executives opening the Summit, Microsoft will be showcasing its "Technology Experience Bar", where delegates can try out the company’s and its partners’ latest cutting edge devices.

The Summit is free, but delegates must register to secure their place. See teesvalleysummit.co.uk.
