PETER Hull has been appointed operations director for H&H Land and Property.

The former head of Farmway joined the company as commercial manager earlier this year and has acted as the right hand man of the managing director, implementing business initiatives.

His appointment as a director marks his success in establishing himself as a key member of the management team.

He will work with fellow directors Tim Parsons and David Quayle to formulate strategies, policies, plans and budgets for H&H Land and Property and will continue to be responsible for the development of its commercial business.

Brian Richardson, H&H Group chief executive, said: "Peter’s strong track-record in business reorganisation and his effect on the business since arriving here in January is considerable.

"As director he will have more opportunity to mould the direction H&H Land and Property takes in the future. I know that his commercial help and experience will be invaluable in helping the company to achieve its business goals during the next stage of its growth."

Mr Hull, from Northallerton, headed farmer-controlled Farmway for more than a decade until it became a part of the Mole Valley Group in 2013.

He said: "I am delighted to take up this new role within H&H Land and Property at a point where the business is expanding and changing rapidly. I am looking forward to using my skills to help meet the growing demands of the marketplace, and in working with my fellow Directors to make the company an even greater part of the H&H Group’s continuing success."

H&H Land and Property has 36 staff working from offices in Durham and Carlisle and operates across the North of England and Scottish Borders. They cover estate management, agricultural business advice, valuations, renewables, planning and development, compulsory purchases, conservation and environment.
