BROADACRES has appointed Chris Fawcett as its new business support director.

Chris, who was formerly Broadacres’ head of ICT, is heading a corporate directorate, which includes HR, communications, IT, health and safety and the customer contact centre. He is also company secretary for Broadacres.

The 39-year-old has taken over from Guru Naidoo, who retired recently after 15 years with Broadacres.

He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role and to succeed Guru, who made a fantastic contribution to making Broadacres such a modern, forward-thinking organisation.

“My aim is to provide a working environment which will allow staff to provide the best possible services to our customers and meet their current and future needs."

Chris joined Broadacres from Hambleton District Council in 2009, where he was head of ICT.

MOBILE Mini, the world’s leading provider of portable accommodation and secure storage solutions with its UK head office in Stockton on Tees, has appointed industry expert David McIntosh as product and technical adviser for its UK operation.

The new specialist role will focus on driving product innovation and continuous improvement to Mobile Mini’s operations.

David brings a wealth of experience to the company, having worked in the portable accommodation industry for more than 15 years, and is used to adapting quickly to fast-paced changes in working practices and processes.

David will support all of Mobile Mini’s 16 depots across the country and will work closely with technical and support staff at the company’s UK headquarters in Stockton on Tees.

David said: “I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and to visiting and assessing each depot individually. I will also visit manufacturers and suppliers on a regular basis. My aim is to introduce improved working practices and processes, to ensure Mobile Mini is at the forefront of new industry ideas and innovations.”

CLOSE Brothers Invoice Finance, part of Close Brothers Group plc, has appointed Edward Langham as a corporate sales director.

This new position will boost the existing team in Yorkshire and the North East, enabling Close Brothers Invoice Finance to further expand their services to businesses in the North of England.

Edward, who has more than 16 years of corporate banking experience, most recently at National Australia Bank, will be responsible for generating new business across Yorkshire and the North East, targeting corporate asset-based lending deals with debts ranging from £2m to £35m.
