YOUNGS RPS, the rural property consultants, have announced new appointments and plans to move into Yorkshire.

Partner Charles Raine in the Hexham office and Edward Boon in Sedgefield have both been made directors, and Kevin Guy, who has worked as a rural chartered surveyor in the North for more than 15 years, has joined the company’s Sedgefield office to work alongside fellow Yorkshireman James Thompson John Turnbull, senior director, said: “It’s important to have fresh ideas and new faces in the boardroom. Both Charlie and Ed know the business well, having trained with the company over a number of years. They have different strengths and skills to offer, all of which we feel will complement the existing mix extremely well, plus it’s great to be able to reward home grown talent with promotion.

“The company has been through a number of changes of late as we continue to expand both our geographical reach and the range of professional services we can offer clients.

“A move into Yorkshire is a natural progression for us, and we are delighted to have Kevin on board to help us to achieve this goal. He is already a well known face among the Yorkshire rural and farming community with a depth of experience in all aspects of land agency.”

Mr Guy said: “The opportunity to join a long established and ambitious firm such as Youngs RPS was not to be missed. I see it as a company that has managed to retain its ethos and integrity over many years.”
