THE Wensleydale Creamery has a lot to celebrate after winning two titles and a haul of medals at the 2014 Great Yorkshire Cheese and Dairy Show.
It was awarded the Wensleydale Cup for its mature Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and a “Best Territorial” award for its Traditional Double Gloucester. The Hawes-based creamery was also awarded five gold, four silver and two bronze medals The Wensleydale Creamery picked up a host of medals across the event for their hand-crafted cheeses, beating a competitive field of dairy producers from across the nation.
David Hartley, managing director, said: “We’re passionate and proud of our Yorkshire heritage and it’s a real honour to be recognised with these awards at one of the nation’s premier agricultural shows.”
