THE TTE Technical Training Group has held its annual awards event at Middlesbrough Football Club.
Sam Slater, 17, of Brotton, was named TTE Learner of the Year.
An outstanding student on his electrical apprenticeship course, he fundraises for several charities and helps staff with additional jobs at TTE’s training centre in South Bank, Middlesbrough.
Other learners of the year were: Health and safety: Ryan Smith, 19, of Billingham.
Franchise instrumentation: Ben Hepplewhite, 20, of Ingleby Barwick.
Employer-led electrical and instrumentation: Awarded jointly to Sam Slater and Andrew Richardson, 23, of County Durham.
Franchise electrical: Charlie Sidgwick, 17, of Yarm.
Franchise mechanical: Luke Powell, 19, of Hartlepool Employer-led mechanical: Louis West, 19, of Grangefield.
Process: Kingsley Beagle, 19, of Darlington.
