A Dales hotel has launched a new partnership with a Kirkby Malzeard butcher to further its commitment to support the local economy.
The Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton is sourcing meat for its new Grill Room, which opens on Tuesday from family-run R&J Catering Butchers.
The new menu is in addition to its award-winning seafood and fish dishes and will include organic free-range poussin, Chateaubriand and pork T-bone, marinated in a secret recipe and cooked on the charcoal grill.
David Moss, co-owner of the hotel, said: “We are proud of the quality of our food and are determined to support local businesses by buying ingredients as locally as we can. We have become well known for our award-winning seafood restaurant – we’ll now do for meat what we’ve done for fish.”
